CRYPT REDEVELOPMENT

Engaging With Our Heritage

A Local History Exhibition would focus on the redevelopment of Wolverhampton's City Centre alongside the history of SS Peter & Paul RC Church. This would allow the Crypt Area to become a place that the local community could come to and learn about the history of their city.

The Church is mentioned in City of Wolverhampton literature, but currently access to our building is extremely limited. Click the button to see the City Trail Pamphlet which discusses SS Peter and Paul acknowledging the lack of access (pgs 4-5).

The Learning Hub would be a space for visitors to learn about SS Peter and Paul RC Church, the Life of Bishop John Milner and the history of Wolverhampton.

Learning Opportunities
The Hub could also be used as a place in which young people from local schools could receive tutoring to support them with their school or college work.

Adult Volunteer Training would also be provided for the various projects hosted by the Community and Youth Development Centre.

COMMUNITY AND YOUTH DEVELOPMENT CENTRE

A Place For Everyone

This multi-purpose centre would be able to provide a space for youth activity alongside a meeting place for the local community. The centre would also be the headquarters of many community projects. For more information about the variety of projects this new centre could manage, please visit The Cinnamon Network.
